Assistant Principal
 Matt Thompson I am blessed in having the privilege to be in my
sixth year as Assistant Principal at West Union. I could easily
write page upon page regarding the merit of this school, though I
will remain brief. Being able to be a part of the leadership team
in a school where excellence is expected is both humbling and
rewarding. Our faculty and staff are committed to the pursuit of
that excellence, and our goal is that the pursuit is contagious to
our students for their benefit. We stand firm in our duty to
provide challenging opportunities for our students to grow in
knowledge and wisdom, and we have a sincere hope that all involved
in the lives of our students share this conviction and help us to
communicate the importance of their education. Today, we are
measured upon many data points to reflect our effectiveness in
educating our students. While we take those data points very
seriously, we realize each data point is connected to a child, a
child that we want to prepare to be successful in all aspects of
life. Inside the walls of West Union, we will make an imperfect,
yet earnest effort to value, protect, and advance the overall
well-being of our students. I encourage all that are a part of the
West Union family to join us in this collective effort because I
truly believe in the idea of "We Are West Union."
